Definition
Someone who travels as part of their lifestyle, more of having multiple home bases in a few countries that they move between a few times a year.
Only really possible for remote work because they won’t be going in to the office.
Problems
Sounds like something I would like to try but also note the difficulties inherent in this:
- Visa to be allowed to stay in another country
- constantly having to move = burden in some cases
- the burden of moving your things - might be better as a minimalist who does not have that many possessions
- but realistically I am a tech gadget hoarder and general accumulator of lots of random things I can’t bear to throw away. Also I have a lot of existing possessions
- What about practical things that are huge (mattress) and you don’t really want to use one someone else had before
- the general admin involved in moving countries
- mail and legal stuff sent to you
- officially changing your address for all your shopping
- the burden of moving your things - might be better as a minimalist who does not have that many possessions
More personally, I don’t think I would enjoy having to do all my own chores, and would likely just stay in whatever place I rent anyways because I’m kinda of a hermit and my life goal is to be a hermit
Possiblilities
You could travel for fun! and experience other cultures not as a tourist but as a local, immersion for languages
